Isn’t a Rotary they exact opposite of the engine a truck should have?

I figured. But your point isn’t wrong- it’s a weird application for a rotary. But damn if it wouldn’t be fun to rev the heck out of a truck like this.
Engine bay and interior are frightening me on this one.

You have to understand Mazda logic here.
Normal automaker logic is “we have a problem, how do we solve it?”
Mazda logic is, “we have a rotary, how do we use it?”
